Welcome to Bolkesjø Gaard

- with views of mountains, water and centuries of history

Bolkesjø Gaard is a family-run farm at the foot of Blefjell, Telemark. We are proud guardians of a rich cultural heritage, where one of Norway's oldest home in three, Årestua from the 13th century is the jewel in the crown. Here, history is honored with a view of the Telemark Mountains, and we are delighted to be able to share this with our guests.

Exclusive experiences

Bolkesjø is a historic place where experiences take shape in the interaction between the farm, the landscape and the people who come here. We tailor stays for families, small groups and companies, with room for both peace and content.

The experiences are often based on the farm and the surrounding area. We are happy to share local tips in the forest and mountains, small trails, and sheltered swimming and fishing spots – places that are not found in guidebooks. For some, just being here is enough, for others, the stay is combined with meals, storytelling and organized activities.

The farm is also a good starting point for excursions in Telemark, with Heddal Stave Church, Gaustatoppen and Fruktbygda within easy reach – known for its many cider producers.

Please contact us for a non-binding chat about the possibilities.
