Wood-fired sauna by Follsjø

Welcome to a wonderful sauna experience at The Crofter's farm at the bathing lake Follsjø.

1. Heat the sauna. It takes about 30 minutes before it reaches a comfortable temperature, depending on the time of year of course. Firewood is available on site.

2. Fill the bucket with water from the barn. In the summer, use the outdoor tap.

Towels, bathrobes and slippers can be ordered separately.

Sauna rules:

• Shower or bath before using the sauna

• Use the towel you bring to sit on in the sauna.

• Food is not allowed in the sauna.

• The maximum temperature is 90 degrees. Warmer temperatures cause the wood to warp.

• Leave the sauna as you found it, sweep the floor and take all trash with you.

• All use of the sauna and swimming is at your own risk, children under 16 only accompanied by adults.

The sauna is located on The Crofter's farm Jonrud, about 100 meters from Follsjø. Feel free to combine use of the sauna with a bath, either in the sea in the summer or in the snow in the winter. This is a google maps link to the location HERE . There is a maximum of 7 people.
