Skiing and winter
Winter at Bolkesjø offers quiet forests, snowy landscapes and many activities right outside your door. Here you can explore the forest on skis or snowshoes, sled down the slopes, go ice skating and try ice fishing when conditions allow. At Blefjell you will find perfect cross-country skiing trails, and it is a short distance to the ski resorts. All of our rentals have their own campfire site to make your winter evening complete.
Cross-country skiing
The ski runs at Blefjell are of a very high standard, and Skisporet.no always provides up-to-date information about the conditions. In the eastern part of the area you will find calm, slightly hilly terrain that is well suited for both families and hikers. At Ble-Høgda and Liatoppen they like to say that the trails do not go up the mountain, but into the mountain — a varied and inviting landscape that provides great nature experiences. Store-Ble offers greater variety and easy access to Bletoppen and Snaufjellet.
There are also good opportunities for cross-country skiing in the forest around Bolkesjø. Here you can follow well-trodden tracks or explore quiet forest terrain on your own.
Mountain skiing and randonee
Store-Ble is a great area for mountain skiing or randonee. Suløytsnuten is a popular starting point with nice downhill runs, and Gaustatoppen is a well-known destination for randonee enthusiasts — easily accessible as a day trip from Bolkesjø.
Slalom
Liatoppen has a small, family-friendly ski lift. For larger facilities, both Kongsberg Ski Center and Gaustablikk Ski Center are within comfortable driving distance.
Snowshoes
We have snowshoes for rent and are happy to show you good routes in the area. Snowshoes are a great way to experience the forest when the snow is deep and the trails are few.
Tobogganing and sledding
The area around the farm is naturally hilly and offers several perfect sledding slopes. We have snowracers, sleds and other sledding equipment available for our guests.
