Trip tip: Dusanfossen
Dusanfossen is the perfect hiking destination for both families and couples. Here you can swim and enjoy the fresh mountain water or just enjoy the view of the waterfall. If you want to go further, you can follow the river up towards Blefjell.
Tour description to Dusanfossen
The round trip is about 3 kilometers on easy terrain, about 30 minutes each way. The walk is not marked, but you follow the forest road most of the way. The last short distance is a clear path and it is easy to navigate your way by the sound of Dusanfossen. You can also follow the forest road up to the top of the waterfall.
Please note that the forest road crosses several streams and it can be wet, especially in spring and autumn.
Swimming and fishing
The area is great for hikers and if it's a nice, warm summer day there's no reason not to take a dip! It's fresh mountain water, so be prepared for a little shock ;) For those who don't want to swim, fishing is an option, as well as picking berries and mushrooms.
Blefjell
Did you think the hike was a bit short? There are good opportunities to follow the river up towards Blefjell, or down towards Buvann. If you go far enough, you will reach the top of Snaufjellet. There are few marked trails in this area, but they are clear and nice to walk.
