Bolkesjø Gaard has its own protected area, Bjønnestille. The forest around Follsjø has been widely discussed in the media in recent years, most recently as the pine forest's answer to "Jurassic Park".

From ancient times, large parts of the outfield around the farm were pastures. When the animals disappeared, the forest came. Here is the story of when we followed the dream of bringing the cultural landscape back.
